We plan to have 4 x transom lights and 4 x aft side lights. What do you think is a sensible spacing between the pair of lights each side?

You will probably find the final positions because it’s a retrofit job will be dictated by the various machinery and services allready in place .
In the sense of how much time and effort and € for example do you want spend say removing a fuel tank or something to get the lights milli metric precision spaced ,when a few cm one way or another means that “ thing “ does not need disturbance be it machinary in the ER or cabinetry in the rear cabin ?
Has the installer done some sort of survey,to say what’s do able ? Easily :encouragement:

Porto is right that internal obstacles get in the way, so you need some luck on that front. Personally I think you need bigger spacing along the sides than on the transom, but critically you need perfectly evenly spacing along the sides. Obviously that is much less of an issue if you have only 2 lights, but would you consider having 3? I was able to fit 3 each side and get even spacing with sensible distance. I reckon you want about 1.8-2.5m spacing on your size boat and mine are 2.1m which I am happy with. All imho
In the first pic below there is a light almost obscured by the orange lift strop.
In the other pictures you can see that I got a corner "light gap" so I should probably have put the outer transom lights round onto the curve a bit more or mount them on tapered washers to splay their angles out 20 degrees or so. (#First world problem).

Match looks fantastic, i didn't realize you had 12 lights....the effect is just stunning. I'm guessing Magnums installation is on the new boat and not a retrofit to his current boat?
