Re: Sailing on windy Saturday

sunday and monday excellent days: anchored in perfect shelter at Hurst on sun night with only a few other boats and a seal for company and free! and returned to portsmouth on monday via the back of the wight, excellent reaching conditions with cruising chute up most of the way, even overtook a larger jeanneau, not bad for a motorsailor towing an inflatable! overtaken by hoardes of cats on a round the wight race

Re: Sailing on windy Saturday

Left Portsmouth Sat evening for Cherbourg - SW 6 for a few hours - good 2-reef sail though not quite in the right direction - then veered W 4, finally going light. Return trip Sun evening - light and variable settling to NW3-4. Perfect weekend!
