Lucas 711-296 equivalent fuel filter

Looking at the Internet, after the local supplier went bust, I am struggling to match the Lucas fuel filter above, for an exact match.

I had a Framm filter once that was upposed to be a match but it always just weeped diesel. The Lucas one was really clean.

Time to put a new one in (didn't do it last year).

What's the best match? Crossland 522 has been suggested. Any thoughts?

Your local parts distributor should be able to match the Lucas one - I've used both Fram and Crossland and both have been fine - and never leaked. I suspect the gaskets were not seated correctly, they are a real b***** to get spot on, Oh and always use a new gasket and make sure you haven't got TWO gaskets in the upper metal housing - don't ask how I know!
