LR70C chartplotter

having trouble with the abouve chartplotter not reading TN chip!!! found out that raymarine no longer support it, so if i cant get it fixed looking at buying a new one? been looking at the garmin 5000 series, question is if i do have to replace the chart plotter, would a garmin plug and play with other raymarine bits like radar, vhf or would the lot have to be replaced.

randome - no chance. Instruments you'll need a seatalk -nmea conversion device, never used one sounds fiddly to me. VHF probably nmea so OK.

Best buy a c or e series, probably straight plug and play - the seatalk stuff will work ie the instruments, the radar depends on the serial no of your randome. 1220000 and below and you've had it, 1220001 - 0530157 and you can upgrade it 0530158 and above it will work.
