have a problem with my lowrance gps no signal from antennea any one else had problems with them?

Had exactly the same thing with my 5300C intermittently. Antenna was replaced, no change - then some wiggling of wires showed it was a connector in-line on the antenna module cable that was dodgy. This was replaced and hey presto - all is now fine.
Can't for the life of me understand why the thing has to have a separate antenna when my handheld does perfectly well without one.
