Lowrance Demo program ... anyone managed to get other charts to work ?

Having installed the demo program so that when ashore I can brush up on skills and use of the 3500C plotter ..... I found it a very useful program.

I have one niggle though .... Looking on Lowrance web-site it mentions that chart packages in the at5 format are compatible with the demo program and should work .... so I dutifully stuck my chart card in reader ... nothing.
I copied the chart files to the folder location as the web-site says to do .... nothing.

Now has anyone else installed said program and got their charts to display and run on it ?
I'm fed up with practicing on the Corpus Christi chartlet they gave on Lowrance site ... I would like to play on the Solent chartlets ...

Im finding paper charts in the bin,more and more!I just walk along the key with MOBOs!
Paper charts,so far, have worked even when my service batteries were flat??The odd plastic plotter things also work,?very odd,though ive had to buy a new pencil sharpener!!!(im spoilt i used to use my knife)

When i try to use seaclear with my apple not only cant i install the charts but seaclear dosent seem to install???A step backwards!

I would like a screen that shows my possition and track, but i think ill wait another few years before spending so much money on the modern e-charts

Its clear the users are paying not only the development costs but the new London house boat mooring and new 84 foot mobo plus running costs for the entire board of directors.

Before im evicted for the new season im going to see how many reall charts i can find in the bins? (Why do we have to leave on the 1 april???Tomorrow ill be at anchor)And befor you say its the 3ed tommorow,some ports take pity on the small boat owner forced out,if person useing the place clearly isent arriving some ports dont evict!!

Is that an electric heater lying on its side on the cabin sole next to the Morrisons's bag? Looks like its trying to ignite the carpet, I would worry about that before trying to play with e-charts at home..... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
 
The heater .....

Frostprotector heater ... it's laying down and not on !!

I lay it down when sailing - before it falls of its own accord. I took picture during a sail ... so it's unlikely to be supplied 240V unless a very long lead !!!!

Jimbuoy and I looked at various heaters and plumped for these at about 30 quid each ... Dimplex 500W Frost-protectors convectors .......... I can honestly say worth every penny.

Morrisons bag ? That's the crew not tidying up !!
