Lowrance chartplotter software updates

Thanks for heads up on this update, for some reason I didnt get a notification from Lowrance. I see that the LGC2000 GPS unit also has an update v1.90 Though prob not applicable to you if you have internal antenna.
Going to play with the boat for a couple of weeks will report back if any improvement to the 3500C.

No it doesn't fix the tidal height icon value problem or the Navionics charts tidal data corruption on certain days each month...both of which I've communicated to Lowrance, Silva, Navionics as well as on this forum numerous times throughout the last year!! LOWRANCE ARE CLEARLY NOT INTERESTED. I'm extremely disappointed that a major software upgrade did nothing to address these issues . Potential Lowrance purchasers please note... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Tidal error ...

My question which has never really been answered ...

Is the problem actually Lowrance Hardware / software related or from the data cards ? We all bang on about Lowrance etc. not correcting it ... but is it actually Lowrance at fault or bought in data ?

I actually don't worry about the error as I use more than 1 source for tide info. But it would be nice if it was correct on the Lowrance - seems a shame for such a daft error on such a good piece of gear.

Re: Tidal error ...

Yes, Lowrance is at fault. From what I've personally observed and been told by one of their dealers, the tidal height unit issue affects most (all?) Lowrance plotters irrespective of chart used (NauticPath or Navionics), and for the Navionics problem, if you run a Navionics chart on another plotter or on a PC, the times of HW/LW show correctly for the days in question. It's difficult to see how the errors could be anywhere other than the plotter itself and the way its software is reading and displaying the source data.
