Which chart was in it. Which one did you replace it with? Check your manual as it might need XL3 sized charts.

I have a 5150c (can it be that different?) and put a new Navionics card in and all was fine. The unit itself has never been updated.

I find the manual for the 5150c pretty poor.

It is the 46xg gold card. I had Naticpath before. It does all of France around the corner into the med one.

IIRC from when I owned one you will need to go into a menu to tell it you are using a different map. I may be wrong, its a long time since I had one.

You do.....I was under the impression the OP had looked for it in the menu!
