hi,

any one else had the problem of the antennea on their globalmap from lowrance?
keep getting message come up on screen and no position data being plotted.

Mine will lose its signal when the boat is heeled and I am standing 'over its sky' I have to say although my Lowrance is OK (the 5200C is a FOC replacement for a knackered 3500c) I would not ever buy another one.

had a 3500c for 3years, with LGC2000 antenna, worked perfectly until last summer when i kept losing position, turned out the blue connector on teh antenna is "dodgy", so just cable tied both sides very tightly to the rail and its been fine since august last year. worth checking yours.
Must say i am quite immpressed with the lowrance kit, nautic charts at 50 squids are a bargain. Would be better if i could upload waypoints via nmea, instead of messing with cards ..but hey. And lowrance support is crap.
Would buy another though
Regards
Roy

i have the 5200c will start with connectors and see where i go from there, the 3500 gave me no trouble at all for years thats why i was confident in getting another lowrance.
Not contacted lowrance yet hope they can sort it as i believe there is a 2yr warranty on these?
