Lowering the River

Hmm, could be a solution for the possible lack of booms at Henley Festival.

1. All boats enter the Temple island reach.
2. Marsh Lock closes all weir sluices
3. Hambledon Lock opens all weir sluices
4. Boats all dry out on bottom of Temple reach - sorted!

Would give some Thames boaters the "tidal" experience they are missing ;)

T' EA has been doing that for years, just ask the lockie at Caversham. When the level is really low, it stops the illegal water taxis from plying and the music lovers can walk across the river bed in their Boden wellies. Peace x
