I experienced low revs from my port engine on passage from Ramsgate to Eastbourne recently. Could only get 2500 but stbd engine giving 3000 plus.
I'm fairly convinced its not fuel filters or mucky fuel.
Any ideas?

check the stbd engine hasn't spun the prop hubs and is the culprit rather than the port only doing 2500 but carrying all the load.

I lost one duo prop on a d6 targa 40

The revs on the good leg rose and the one missing the prop fell

The engines are managed by the electronics once over xxx rpm and I assume it is not as simple as syncing revs but also takes account of fuel flow, load etc ( this is a guess based on the behaviour I saw so someone w else may know better)

As such don’t dismiss the fact that the issue maybe on the other engine and it is the electronics compensating and you ( naturally ) assume the lower rpm engine is the faulty one.
