I need a 2 inch ID or 51mm Low profile 90deg elbow for a diesel tank-to-pipe connection. The available height above the tank is only 4cm so its going to be a squeeze. Vetus don't seem to stock them. Is there anyone else in the uk? I'm drawing a bit of a blank with google.

If the pipe is 51mm ID, how on earth are you going to get it into a 4 cm space? Is this the fuel inlet pipe?

One possibility if the space above the tank is too limited is to fit a blanking plate there, and make a connection for the fuel inlet at the top of one side.

Yes its the fuel filler. I didn't want to go to the hassle of making a new hole, and i could always drop the tank mountings a bit, but I was hoping to find a hose-clipped elbow that would fit. Even an automotive one would do.

Don't suppose heat-stressing a hose to take a permanent bend would be too safe, in practice?

I've also thought that perhaps a uPVC high pressure hose fitting would suit?

Dont know if you have a branch in your area, but I was looking for almost the same thing in s/s last year, not just as tight a bend though, got exactly what I was after from the PLUMB CENTRE, (Stainless branch) in Glasgow, and best of all got it for nothing.
The other option would to be get a peice of the pipe and mitre it at 45 degree and weld it, then cut the excess off each end,
this would be a cheaper option, unless you get it for nothing.
Let me know and I can check with them for you, but it will be end of next wk before I can get over there.

We recently replaced a fuel tap and a few other connections. We got them all from our local gas boiler suppliers. If the plumbing draws a blank ask your local gas crowd.
