All the pressure washers that are smallish (lower power) that I have seen are pretty pathetic. If you want real guts in a pressure washer you should consider an engine driven pump High pressure pump. However it is probably not easy to turn off and on I suppose it depends what you want it for. good luck olewill

I agree with Will H. I bought a small cheap one from Homebase, I think. Although it is rated at 1.3kw it is useless for any big job like pressure washing the hull. Ok for hosing a bit of mud off the deck, suppose.

The trouble with a small one is that the volume of water delivered is so small that the useful width of the fan spray is only about 1/2".

Had cheap Italian job ... fine till pump seized later through lack of use ...
Have now cheap Karcher in UK ........ fine

Out here have cheap Bosch ......... fine

With all of them - been ok to clean of underhull - I found the trick to get ALL the barnacle of though was to NOT scrape it off first - as the white ring left behind is a devil to get of even with a higher power washer. Let the washer take the barnacle of and for some reason the ring goes as well in one.

With a petrol driven pressure washer, will the pressure washer be able to draw the water from a barrel or do you still have to supply it with pressurised water
