Add a tablet or phone with Bluetooth and your favorite boogie tunes and off you go.

This works a treat so far, the amp draws close to zero when not doing anything and not much more when playing.

Nice having the wonderful jango app running through the main speakers

If anybody hasn't heard what these tri-path amps sound like, they are in for a shock. I'm on my third. The first one left with a friend who wanted it so badly, daughter nabbed the second. They are that good.

I had one in my cabin on my last ship, except I plugged my iPod straight into it. A pair of speakers on the bulkhead sounded really good in my tin box (cabin).

Not sure about the claim that they don't need much power. My amp drew several amps when it was turned up loud.

I have an Arjen Helder tripath ta2020 (2024?) Which sips power. Wired exactly as you say with Google music from computer/tablet/phone.

Not ridiculously loud but I recommend wholeheartedly.

I have something very similar.
Sold as a 12v motorcycle amplifier. I don't use a bluetooth adaptor, though. Just use 1/4 inch jack cables for the phone or tablet.
The speakers are old domestic ones which had been kicking around the garage. If they get wet and fall to bits I can bin them and replace with no qualms.
Sound quality is fine and volume is more than enough for a small-ish saloon.

On my old boat I used one of these with a couple of waterproof speakers I bought off eBay.. I'll do the same on the current one once I have some electrics...
