Low flow from filter

I fitted a General Ecology Seagul water filter at the weekend to replace an old charcoal type. The problem I now seem to have is that of low flow through the filter.

The pump runs and the flow is fine then it stops and flow decreases then it starts again and the cycle continues. I have an accumalator in the system. It is a black plastic type with no means of pressurising it. I assume the accumalator has some form of diaphram? Could this unit be the problem?

Any ideas?

what is flow like from the previous tap, or at present from other taps pls ?


How big is the plastic accumulator ?


Have you checked that there are no obstructions or bends in the new pipework / fitting ?
