There was a Cat in on Friday, the moorings are fore and aft about 100' apart so we needed to tie a few bits together. You need to be fore and aft to stop you swinging into the fairway especially at low tide. There are 6 bouys in two rows, you may need to be alongside a fishing boat as we were, but there is plenty of water and room but then we were only in a small single hulled boat!

You can see our lines in the first picture and the gap for boats to get in and out between the two rows. There was a 40-50' cat fishing boat in the harbour so you should be OK.

Very nice pics and a beautiful location.

I had to look it up in the West Country Cruising Companion. Apparently you can anchor to seeward of the vistor moorings, wouldn't fancy that as the channel is quite a bit les than 100m wide. It suggests a riding light is used .

You've got to watch it at low tide if you're deepish draught, I picked up a buoy there a couple of years ago and had to exit sharpish because of a submerged rock close to the rudder

Possibly, I'd check with the locals, as there are a quite a number of wotking fishing boats for a small harbour and they use a lot of the quay space to unload, there were three boats on the inside of the outer wall at low tide.
