So for the one day of sunshine we have seen the choice was clean the boat or go out, guess which won!

We took a short trip to the Brocas for an over night stay, the first of the year.

This was around 2:30pm with a few boats moored, lots of passing traffic and people looked like they were on day trips. Spotted Laughing Water and No Regrets presumably with her new owners.

Archie enjoyed his first proper trip and overnight.

As it got later there were six boats in total moored overnight.

The best thing was it was warm! Laying on the front of the boat in shorts with a drink in hand I remember what it's supposed to be like. Looking at today's weather can the sun come back again please :-(

Did everyone else enjoy the weekend??? IMG-20130420-00231.jpg

Sooooo Jealous! We had the parents down this weekend and while I managed to get them down to the boat for a cup of tea we did not go anywhere.... still it was pleasant lapping up the sun at T and K. (We miss you and the gang from Windsor though and will be down when the holiday's start!

Archie is a cute hound.

A short trip yesterday for Moxon with wife and son aboard. Moored at a field where every dog for 10 miles came to investigate our hot-dogs in rolls, (son's choice). We were boarded by what I think is a Springer Spaniel but he didn't get our sausages!

At one point my wife actually looked like she was enjoying being on the boat.

Really excited about son's first over-nighter afloat planned for this summer. That is he and I are both excited about it.

Had a lovely overnight stay at Laleham, amazing sunny weather and got a bit of colour.
Couldn't get into the Three Horseshoes for dinner, so had a pint in The Feathers and Turks Head before deciding on a Chinese delivery from Chertsey after a rendezvous at The Turks Head, very nice it was as well! Cold night Saturday but had heating on low all night, mainly for the doggies though, then lunch in the horseshoes! Food and service fantastic, consistently good, so just the 3.5 hours there and more drinks on board before schmoozing home, fantastic!

Hampton Court for the weekend spoilt for choice on the moorings and Gloriana gliding past on Sunday morning. Nice start for the season, fingers crossed.

Good to hear everyone enjoyed the weekend!

Moxon, glad to hear your wife looked like she was enjoying the boating :D

Sunny again today let's hope this weekend will be good.

Nice to hear No Regrets is in the vicinity, I'll bet her new owners are having a lovely time getting to know her! Cheers Sulley :D

I will always miss her, she was impeccably mannered, and in very sound condition for her age.

However, we wanted to move on up to something entirely different, and I reckon we have found a worthy successor!

Sad I know, but there will always be a place in my heart for that old Broom, I just wish her new owners the very best!

So.. did you get the chance for a burn up? What did she hit???

Can't help but love them I know. In process of selling house now all kids gone and will be sad to see ours go. Have a few ideas for replacement. Have you missed the upper steering position?

We enjoyed the weekend in the Canaries. 30 degrees and sitting on the terrace wishing we could sit on the boat during the summer and enjoy those lovely balmy evenings, still in shorts... Just watched '50 Shades' video and wondering why there are no leaves on the trees. Crikey, you forget that it is still chilly back home. Back tomorrow to the damp and cold. Cool weekend ahead. Great :( . Still, could be living in a shack and having to walk 5 miles for water. So can't complain.
