Just meandering up the pontoon, and there was this cheeky chap just languishing, having a bit of a stretch.
He didn't move even though I passed only 2 feet behind him.

Caught him with my mobile phone camera.

Sometimes, its just more than the sailing.

The one I missed was a large gull wrestling with a crab in his beak on the pontoon only seconds earlier.

Paul, he actually did stand his ground while I passed behind him. It was only when I stopped to frame the next shot, he moved.

Jim see you have managed to capture Miss Sable on the right of the 2nd pic with blue hull. This ranks as one of the few published pics of Kip Marina with her in her berth. Must be something to do with me using her a lot.

The herons on Kip pontoons are unbelievable they only lift when you get very close and with all the masts and rigging you never see an injured bird.

Was good to meet you Jim last week glad you had a good time.

Don't you think that you should invest some time in polishing the topsides? ;-)

From a hundred mtrs looks ok.

Anyway when I get it all polished within 2 weeks it is back where it started. Last time had her out and all polished looked great. Had her popped back in water, took her round to her berth, made a cuppa and when I got out to admire my handwork there was a thick scum on the hull about 3 in above waterline from the marina. That well and truly p****d me off!

Not a lot of people know that .............

.............. From 1562 the people of Seaford were known as the 'cormorants' or 'shags' because of their efficiency in looting ships wrecked in the bay. They were also not averse to helping ships run aground with fake harbour lights on the cliffs.

Are the pics right off the camera? I usually get quite OK quality from my mobile phone camera, but I have to put the pics trough GIMP to do some editing first.
