I overheard a brief CH6 conversation ( 'Sky Diver' I recall ) a couple of months ago about Chertsey based 'Lovejoy' getting a serious, hull splitting, whack from passenger boat 'Yarmouth Belle'.
I was wondering if anyone knew any more.

Friends of mine. Happened when they were moored at Hampton Court some weeks ago.

Damage is quite nasty but will be repaired as I understand it, and they have continued using the boat while the weather has been good.

Won't comment on what happened - only have hearsay.

Heard the "Belle" can zig zag up the river but that must have been something special to hit at Hampton Court AND moored up? someone was moored in the wrong place (or at least attempting to!) by the sounds of it.

I'm feeling fine thanks - and I've just noticed something.......
