Didn’t notice the pin come half out and lost half a sheave. I managed to rig up a snatch block to get us back.
Any ideas where I might find some sort of replacement or I’m probably looking at getting something machined?

It’s an 80-s boat (the track car is stamped with HA 1275 and the remaining sheave half PRO 163.

If Holt Allen can't help, I would get another full sheave made up.
There may be a suitable one off the shelf from another manufacturer. I can find Barton and Lewmar ones on Ebay if you can match up the size.
A nyloc nut on the bolt would be a good idea.

Don't you have shops selling second hand yacht parts in the UK - or is the answer 'Boat Jumbles'

I was always under the fond impression that sail tracks were standard sizes so finding a new block to fit should be easy - just needs money. I also though the 2 standard sizes were now Metric but based on the historic Imperial sizes.

You can buy spare sheaves from Allen or Ronstan, and presumably Harken and Lewmar et al . You have the car - all you need is the sheave. Some sheaves are secured with Interscrews, which you can source 'off the shelf' in the UK. Interscrews are not very secure/reliable - a dab of blue Loctite is a good idea (just a dab - don't go wild :)

Try rigrite.com they list a variety of odd sheaves
As to Neeves question, there used to lots of chandlers that also sold used bits and pieces, but they have slowly declined and although some may still be in existence, I don’t know of any.
Boat jumbles are only just returning after Covid.

I had a similar problem and found the answer on eBay, from a seller in Saltash who goes by the name of "Mainly-Lewmar-Spares". For me it was pretty straightforward as my boat is reasonably modern and the supplier of the deck equipment is still in business. Google also throws up a selection of sheaves, but their relevance to your particular requirement will only be known to yourself.

Thanks for the replies. The trick is trying to find one with reasonably close dimensions. Closest thing I have found so far is a nylon bow roller. Will try a few places in the week.

In the meantime. I got home last evening and printed this off, 100% infill and a perfectly sized skateboard bearing to spread the load. The bolt will do until I get a better pin in the week. Not a lot of wind to really try it today.
