Took mine apart and discovered the same.
Is there any way to replace this battery. Is there any glue that conducts electricity?

Not sure I want to try to solder a LiIon battery. Battery was 2.87v.
Sailed to Solent this w/e and all instruments functioning OK inc GPS. Off to CIs next weekend so see how it goes.
Think I will just replace GPS with new one and accept I need a interface to bring signal to old system for classic E series.

Not sure about "glue", but there is a conductive paint that you can but from car spares shops which is intended to repair broken rear window heater elements. If necessary for structural strength, repair first with superglue or epoxy, then fix the broken electrical connection with conductive silver paint?
