Loosing Coolant

I had exactly the same problem on a Jeanneau I bought earlier this year same engine. The filler cap was not turned all the way down, it appears to reach a stop but I then discovered looking at the lugs that it would take another quarter turn. :o

Did it and no leakage since. :)

I also thought the face plate on the water pump looked worn so replaced with a Speedseal.

That's the boat!
Will check I am screwing the cap home as well. Thanks to all the contributors here. It makes such a difference when you know you are not alone!

Interesting, I have the same problem on my 2010. Mine is more like 50/75 ml, but never measured it precisely. The engine never overheats. A couple of years ago I noticed that the freshwater was tasting salty ( don't know why I tasted it !) and that was solved by tightening the forward end cap. The rear end cap sprang a leak at the end of last year, and I replaced it. It was full of embedded iron filings. I bought a new front cap at the time and will check that this winter. I suspect that we often overfill the tank, and will check more precisely with a bottle on the end of the tube. I noticed that our club workboat had been fitted with a bottle in the same way on it's new Beta engine.

How does one know if the pressure cap is malfunctioning ? The only other possibility I can think of is one of the pipes to the calorifier might have a small leak.. is this possible or am I talking nonsense?
