morning all. my v.penta kad 32 (2001 vintage) throttle control seems to be getting sloppy in the 2500/3000rpm range. anyone know how to adjust the friction in the control lever (and how to dismantle it to get at the inside)??????? thanks in advance.

Hi
I know you have a S24 so that would be a single control but on my S28 although being twin the basic of the throttle unit should be similar (maybe?) Remove the cover to get to the actual body of the unit and the friction adjuster, on early types it was a single grub screw directly above the lever, you just tightened it to increase friction. On later types as on my 2001 Sealine, looking at the control lever, to the rear of the body there are 2 stainless screws, one in the top corner and one just below it, this one is the friction screw to adjust to your requirements.
I hope this is of some help.

Steve
