Loop in mooring riser

In the past the mooring contractor always used a continuous multiplat riser from the chain to a soft eye on the boat. The mooring buoy was always tied on to this with a short length of rope using a rolling hitch. I changed mooring contractor. He renewed the riser but this time put a loop in the multiplat tying the buoy to this. It just looks a bit unprofessional to me. Am I worrying about nothing?20180518_205040.jpg
 
Multiplait suffers less from friction than say 3 strand because it is more pliable, but that double loop looks a bit of a temporary lashup and not like best practice.
