Looking for the correct wind indicator for a 24 foot bilge keel boat

Soaked in tar? ... move with the times... bin liner plastic, sooo thin for sensitivity...

I think the bin liner plastic would be a bit too in-your-face ultra-modern to look right on a Trident; while the tarred rag, while traditional, is a bit pretentious unless you have a wooden gaffer with traditionally tanned canvas sails.

No, I'd say for a Trident, stick with the tried and trusted classic wind indicator - a bit of audio cassete tape.

I have a wind direction indicator, but also my Brother in law pointed out a small piece of cassette tape tied to a shroud. He told me I can then double check, the cassette tape being the most accurate.
