Looking for that Seventies gloss

My yacht was built in the early seventies (white GRP) and the gelcoat although in good nick, looks great when wet but dull when dry.

When I bought it, the surveyor suggested that I 'cut' it no more, and despite waxing cannot get a 'shine'.

I remember reading about a good selling wheeze using AWATROL to give a quick shine. Another being a tablespoon of white vinegar in a bucket of cold water.

I am no relation of Arthur Daly but would like any ideas of bringing back a bit of Glam to the pride and joy.

Thanks
