Hi guys,

I am new on this and would need some help please.

I have just bought a Boat (Shetland Family Four - about 5.5m long) and I am looking for cheapest possible mooring or berth around Bournemouth/Poole/Christchurch.

I know it is not a cheap area at all, I have seen most of common places and it is quite expensive in general.

If anyone can recommend any place would be wonderfull.

Thanks

You could also put Ridge Wharf (river Frome, back end of Poole bay) on your list, and try the Environment Agency (Exeter) who also manage moorings on that river.
If you are looking for cheap, I assume you are not looking for a step on berth.

Hi Michael,

welcome to the forums.

I agree with ' ladyinbed ', the River Frome seems a good bet and it's a truly lovely place to be, as long as one has a relevant local tide table !

Might be worth asking Poole Harbour Commissioners about moorings - http://www.phc.co.uk/

Have fun,

Andy

You could try Parkstone Bay Marina - as with most things around Poole, not cheap, but if you are prepared to take the ground occasionally, their moorings are not too bad or they do dry storage and launching. I have always found them helpful.
