Sorry to hear needs/must.
I dont have anything secret to post, so..

I m sure a trawl through the internet will show up some suggestions of price?
Bear in mind that while someone might take comfort at the bills/receipts, it doesnt ADD value to the boat. Its more an absence of documents reduces the value of the boat. So, the good news is that it will give comfort to the next owner, but even if you had spent £10k on fixing something, it doesnt add anything at all to the value.
Ebay isnt a bad place and has the advantage that the boat will sell quickly, and maybe that is important to you. Boatsandoutboards, and other internet savvy sites/brokers are another possibility, but selling a boat is a slow process;think three to six months , and thats if the price is average.
Its also an emotional process; it might be your beloved craft and fond memories, but to the next person its just a boat.
Personally, I d try ebay with a suitable reserve. If you dont get the reserve, the last bid will give you an idea of what you perhaps should be thinking about. And sometimes that is very useful hard info.

Only one for sale at present - in France - at 30000 Euros. One been on UK market recently at asking £27k.

So £25-30k seems reasonable asking, probably higher end if diesel.

Should sell relatively easily as desirable type of boat.

As some-one who has been looking for the last 4 months for a particular boat I am astounded at the lack of detail, c**p pictures and generally "ya' interested or wot" sort of attitude from, mainly private sellers, but also some brokers.

IMHO if you want to sell your boat quickly

1. As Tranona said price it right based on what other boats of a similar make have sold for
2. Pictures, pictures, pictures..... I don't know the type of boat, but assuming I was looking for a nice cruiser I would want to see good pics of the overall layout - the fine detail I can see later - but a single pic won't get punters intersted. Don't forget quality pics... it has amazed me that so many boats for sale have a single poor quality pic... with Digital cameras there is simply no excuse for uploading an out of focus pics.
3. Spec. I have been so disappointed in my search when contacting mainly private sellers. I ask for a full spec and inventory and I get back an e-mail with some very basic info. Surely it's not beyond the capabilities of someone these days to put together a simple MS word document that goes through the boat in detail and just e-mail it?

As to where to advertise.. Boats & Outboard is not bad; Apollo Duck is free and got me my last 2 sales; but don't forget about sites like e-bay and it is always worth mentioning to some local brokers - Not an actual listing with them.. but maybe you could do a deal if they hear of someone?

Good luck

Rob

Absolutely spot on post, 120% agree with everything there Rob.

When i sold my last boat i knocked a quick free website up for it. Huge description detailing every little thing, along with over 30 quality pictures, showing the boat from every angle, along with lots of pics of the important bits of detail. I then listed it on Ebay, linking to the website. It could also have been advertised on any other site and linked there too (or instead). It sold on Ebay to a guy from the other end of the country to me, without seeing it, based on the pics and the description. He even transferred the £15k to my bank before he saw the boat.

I have a 1984 Nimbus 27
She is ashore at the moment
I will be selling Her
My needs have changed ref boats.

Over the last 12 Months whilst I have been deliberating what to do
I have kept my eye on the 'value' of boats like ours.

Plus I have obviously deliberated about the best method of sale.
It will take me about a month to get BRIZA up to scratch for selling.

When ready I will use 'Boatshed' and maybe one of the 'free' sights.
Boats and Outboards maybe.

I like the way Boatshed operate and the way they present the pictures etc.
I do not fancy an E Bay auction
I know there is a method, kinda buy it now price
Or the other way things seem to be sold there with no reserve etc.
Maybe e bay is ok but I,m not comfy with it!!

As to values.
Not less than 20,000 pounds My friend.
The older hulls
Up to 1981 seem to be advertised at about 17,000 pounds.

Your boat in the condition you describe.
I think you will realise 22,000 pounds quite quickly.
Is She fitted with a TAMD30A?
Cheers
K
