Looking for a surveyor in Croatia!

Contact a guy called Sinisa at this company http://www.maritimus-consultant.hr. They are based in Split and can certainly arrange a survey because they did it for my boat for the VAT payment. Btw, is this boat described as Croatian VAT paid? If so and its important to you, best let Sinisa look at the customs declaration and tell you exactly what VAT status the boat has. Sinisa has posted on these forums as Maritimus on the matter of Croatian VAT

Thanks for the advice, Deleted User, I will get in touch with Sinisa. And yes, the boat I am looking at flies Croatian flag, but with Croatia's admittance into the EU it is very difficult for a foreigner to understand if/what tax is payable on the boat...

We used Dr Srecko Favro of www.adriatic-expert.hr, both for the pre-purchase survey 3 years ago and to handle all the tax, flagging and VAT stuff over the last few months. A good team, and his lists of defects were very helpful for planning our project work and to work on the price. He is based in Split. Tel +385 98 26 50 67
