Looking for a lot of boat for £35K ?

Probably not in the first flush of youth but never the less a chance for boater on a budget to get hold of proper boat with decent interior accomodation and a bit of a long legged distance cruiser to boot.
As long as the engines have bit of life left in them and the buyer can afford the running costs and moorings.
A realistic asking price reflecting the 20 odd up for sale on one website.

Blimey - glad I sold mine when I did !

I can't see the seller being inundated with offers above £35k, he has set the asking price. Assuming the running gear is good to go then someone could pick up a decent boat here around £!! K. This won't help residuals for any other Turbo 36 owners though.

Externally the T36 still looks the part.

That interior though! Urgh, I can smell the damp from here and already my skin is crawling.
Cheap enough if the mechanicals are good though for a complete refit. I'd always thought a heavily updated T36 would make a nice boat - high gloss walnut joinery, light solid counters, new glass bridge dash, carpets, custom mattresses, white leather etc. Base boat needs to be super cheap though

Victim of its own popularity and success, ?

Not difficult to understand why so many on the market at this time.
Many Turbos initially purchased new or nearly new in short ( very ) golden era when getting a roof over your head was possible while still leaving a spare cash for other leisure pursuits.
Early sellers, unable to accept the way secondhand boats prices were going, clinging on to a forlorn hope that things would improve, while later sellers simply added to the stock of unsold boats.
One or two boats have been up for at least three or years with no obvious reduction in price.
Not that long ago a Turbo 36 was still listed with £100K + asking price.
More are sitting idle on moorings, owners waiting for prices to rise. !
An excellent boat and with little hard bargaining a great buy.

I can hear the RCC mooring man now. "Squeeze up a bit, room for one more"
