Looking for a good independant Volvo penta engineer

Was wondering if you have any recommendations for a good reliable independant Volvo penta engineer which we could use for our new purchase of a Fairline Targa 29.

I know 'Volvo paul' has come up numerous time on the forum, so if any one could post be his number it would be greatly appreciated.

If there are any others too, it would be appreciated.

I will add Jim Davis to your list if you want someone in the Solent area. Call him on 07896 367379. I used him in 2014 for some work on a VP in a Beneteau Antares and was impressed by his skill and honesty.

We used Volvopaul to survey a pair of TAMD41B engines when we bought a Broom 33 back in April. We had a limited window for the engine survey which he met. We could not do a sea trial as the boat was inland however he serviced it and sorted out potential cooling problems that would have surfaced when out at sea and under power. The engines have subsequently worked well so we have been very pleased with his service and workmanship and would not hesitate to recommend him.

Volvopaul all the way. Great technically and very sensible in regard to only foing what needed to be done based on time and usage.

Would also recommend Jim Davis. He has been used on my boat since I had it this year. Mine is not a volvo however I know he is a volvo specialist. Really nice guy and fair rates to. Has always given a good service he has fitted new bottom of my leg and he also has had to remove my whole engine from my boat. Also fitted new steering rack Use my name lionel. On second thoughts don't he might double the price?
