I've fitted an extension speaker to my VHF which has made a huge difference in clarity of output primarily as it is better directed and closer to head height. However, I would like to find a grey grille so that it blends in a little better with the adjacent Raymarine displays. You wouldn't think it would be so hard, but my Googling so far has drawn a blank. Does anyone know of a source of such things? If I can't get grey then second choice would be white, but even these seem hard to find on their own at that size.

Actually, that's not a bad idea and I'm somewhat embarrased to admit that I hadn't thought of that! Thanks.

They usually come in black or white. Most speakers come with grills, if you don't already have the speaker choose one with perforations in the grill rather than mesh, with luck the driver may be able to be detached from the grill. Use an all surface primer and paint it.

DNH are the only manufacturer i know of who might do something in an appropriate colour with a reasonable ip rating. Apart Audio might be worth looking at. I have used a water resistant speaker I think I got from Canford Audio in the past which could be sunk into a locker and painted it for an installation.
