Caladh our Victoria 34 will be up for sale and we are now starting to look at the next purchase. We would like a heavyish displacement vessel IRO of under 12 metres built after 190. Our list at the moment comprises Bowman 40, Malo 38/30 and Najad 38/39. Can OP's recommend any other vessels we should be looking at ? If we could get a 40' version of the V34 it would be perfect! Unfortunatley the Victoria 38 does not fit the bill.

I have always quite liked the Island Packet designs - Chuck Paine design. Roomy for the type of boat, modest draft. But then I like the Bowman 40 as well (one is ashore beside me for the winter...).

While the Bowman is indeed a Chuck Paine design the IP is definitely not - and don't think Paine would like the suggestion!

Thanks for the suggestions. The Oyster 406 is too old and I was put off IP's after reading some poor reviews. Rustler 37 is a little small and I've never come across a Giles 38 so will investigate and also look again a Pacific Seacraft again. I'm sure it's going to be a long process so we want to get "it" right!

We have just had a real run of sales but we will have more stock coming on over the next few months, and there are some videos that will give you an idea of internal layouts, even on the already sold ones.
