looking a bit windy on Monday...!

well half term week innit...so blooming typical!

we are going to be on the boat Wednesday Thursday next week, XC weather saying from Wednesday high coming in so tail end of your break going to be OK...

We are in the West Country from Wednesday to Sunday - hope the weather gods are kind, and if XC is correct we may be lucky .... but as you say Half Term, so things may be different. Fingers crossed...

at the moment it looks like that is the time to be away, but a high at the end of October means it may be a bit chilly

Sounds good - as long as its dry we can handle the cold.... just need to put the heater to the test methinks. We put it on once in the summer and the hot air coming from it almost singed the hairs on my legs - so we should be OK.

Dead keen to get out and in fact we have been lucky for the last 2 October half terms, so hopefully we can get the hat trick !

Falmouth looking bright with a moderated westerly from Tuesday 29th for the rest of the week, I think I might be holed up in the marina this weekend tho' :(

We ain't going anywhere

Have you seen the pdf that Simon Keeling has sent round to the people registered for the email link to his weather forecast - I quote:

"Severe gales are likely on Monday as a depression brings heavy rain and the possibility of F10-F11 winds through the area, with accompanying very rough seas"

The rest of his forecast shows a nasty build up to this. I hope I am in order quoting from his stuff - please take it as plug for his fantastic service

I am heading to Brighton Marina on Saturday, I know Premier have said they will be keeping an eye on the boats but if anyone needs anything checked PM me and I will have a look for you when I am there..

well I know it changes almost hourly, but saying at the moment that in Southampton on Monday it will be gusting 59mph....

windguru is saying 70mph gusts for Weymouth early hours Monday at least the marina is pretty sheltered and its coming from the ssw so at least it will blow me onto the finger berth and not off it

we are having three conference calls a day about the weather at the moment. Not looking pretty from about 0200z-0800z on monday and then still pretty bad until 1100z.

Monday commute might be hard work if you live in the southeast.

Hmmm. I'm supposed to be driving from Hayling to Milton Keynes first thing on Monday: this is starting to look like it's not a clever plan :-(

just checked wind guru and they've changed the outlook for Monday morning from mid 30knt winds gusting 50+knts to 25knt winds gusting 40's
