Oops sorry,,, But i have to say, they were very difficult to see, even when the boat was out the water, they were both moulded and fitted flush into the hull.

Hi ya, You must have one of the DeVere lodges? My wife and i bought one at Belton Woods last year, first week was this year - have to say - a lot of money but worth every penny.

What do you think of Cameron house?

Cheers,

Craig.

Beautiful boat, nasty unmatching fenders.

Some people have no appreciation of the importance of details...

Yes they are a bit. When they lifted her off the transporter, they left her hanging in mid air for ages while they ran around looking for fenders to use. So i don't think they came with the boat.

I haven't ben to Belton Woods ..yet..but I have seen how lovely it is. Cameron House is the most amazing place..The lodges are fantastic...and all the staff sooo helpful etc... The facilities are also fantastic..All the restuarants nearby and bars are all good.. You can't go there without seeing "The Drovers " at Ardlui.....!!The hotel restaurants are very expensive, but if you go you could also go to Duck Bay, next door which is great.. I own a sleeping 8 summer lodge and the best of all...own the Hogmany week.!! If you ever get the chance to go for that week....you would have the most brilliant time... You never go to bed !!... The marina is also on site as it the golf course..Wee Demon..only 9 holes, but very good... It is only about 20 mins from Glasgow airport..over the years ( I owned from the very beginning there before the resort was fully built) have travelled there many different ways..The scenery is out of this world and the Scots are the best and friendliest people I've ever met !!..As you can hear.. I really love the place... Never had ANY probs at all...DeVere only took over a couple of years ago, and have made several improvements..all good... Funnily enough, I have just put my summer week up for internal rental..If you are interested..let me know...My lodge is right on the golf course overlooking Loch and is amazing..you have your own sauna, 3 bathrooms, 2 jaccuzis etc etc.. I could go on for hours !!!!... You must go and see it !!.....Marilynne

Ahh.... The Drovers Inn.... What a......fascinating place/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif. As you say, Well worth a visit.
I don't think its been decorated or cleaned in the last 100yrs. The other week we ate there, they cleaned the table with the floor mop!! And you daren't put your elbows on the table for the fear of them sticking to it./forums/images/icons/smile.gif
But oh what a hooley we have there on a Saturday. Pure Magic, and they run a free bus back to our marina at night.

We usually spend Hogmany up at Loch Lomond, theres no better place for a shindig.

Hi Roy,
We are coming up on Friday night for a fortnights holiday.
Do you know anyone in the marina that could lend me a pair of waterskis for a few days?

Cheers

Alistair.

I was there as well...!!! and didn't go to bed at all..... all those big Scotsmen in kilts... who tread on your feet when at ceidlahs....I was at the main function downstairs in the hotel.... We didn't go to the marina party as I knew more people in hotel...met the Scotsman and his wife who own the restuarant/cafe in Luss..( the one that's only been open a couple of years in the side road) He's got long blonde hair and a kilt !!!......(Luss is another of my favourite places)...I have some great pics. of him in his full regalia !!!..You are sooo lucky to be in one of the best places in the world !! As for the Drovers...well...I love the place, especially the big bear in the front..also the big Scotsman with an earring behind the bar..He's the local ***..and he introduced me to whisky macs....when I ask for them in other places, even in Scotland, most people haven't heard of them !!!

Hi ya,

Havent been to Cameron House myself yet - first time at Belton Woods was this year - so still in awe of exactly how relaxing it is really! Didnt sample much outsde the hotel in terms of food, but have a few places on our list for next year.

The Wife and i decided that i spend enough time driving the rest of the year - so a week spent with the car in the car park and a golf buggy for transport was great!

I Dont play golf (yet) but Belotn woods has 2 courses, one is the Championship PGA course (which probably means somethign to a few golfers?) and we overlook them from our balcony.

Like you ours sleeps 8, has the obligatory Sauna, Jacuzzi and multi head shower etc.. B&O kit throughout... a fantastic resort and break away from everything!

Will look to go to Cameron house in the coming years i think, still going to carry on enjoying Belton Woods first.

have fun!

Craig.
