Or hold down the ALT key and press 167 but for both of these to work, you need to have NUM LOCK turned on. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
When you hold the ALT key down and type a number, the result on the screen will depend on the font chosen. Both 167 and 248 give a similar symbol when Arial font is used, try some different fonts and you might get a different symbol but remember that some fonts will have these symbols duplicated in the same place. The number refers to the code used (up to 256 for an 8 bit character).
Another option is to right click where you want to insert the degree sign and choose the option 'superscript'. If you then tap the 'O' key you get the degree sign. To go back to normal you then uncheck the superscript selection.
