Saw this on the weekend. Took a dozen pictures trying to find the good side. Was gobsmacked by the fenderlines.

IMHO mark is very polite, it's an awful looking thing and tbh the length of the fender lines is the least of the problems on it...

yes what is it? what's this dark slot/window/whatever on the bow? sending light to a misesable salon down there in front of the aft cabin?
US made presumably

Beauty is in the eye of the "beerholder" therefore I think that boat is at least a 12 pinter! lol :)

Yep mark is being polite, it's a hideous looking boat, and the fender lines are the least of that guys issues!, his wife must have bought it, it's probably got a lovely big mirror, plenty of lighting by the dressing table and a built in hair dryer;) the rest doesn't matter:rolleyes:

Believe this is a Carver 36 Mariner .... and the thing on the front is a seat.... Weather you like it or not the principles and lines are not a new invention, they have taken the lines and principles from a "command bridge" style from the early 70's, also used by such classic yards as Italcraft, which later Fairline and Coronet took on.... Made for large living volume when compared with similar sized boats of the era... But Carver have taken it a step further, bringing the saloon to the full width of the boat...

Some designs are more succesful than others.....

I think Carver has done some very nice looking command bridge boats, and their build quality and furniture has, in the past, been quite good. I quite like the old Riviera aft cabin (although the step down to the swim platform is a full ladder's worth), but this Imperial Cruiser just stunned me. As someone on the dock drawled,
"It looks like the offspring of something real big humping something real small."

I think it's different!
Would have to see inside first but I wouldn't not buy it.
Then again, I do like American cars and abstract art!

While not to my personal taste you have to admire designs like that. It's the more recent designs where they've lost the plot a bit. :)

I think I'd go along with that. This incessant search for the perfect shape in the wind tunnel has lead to bland car design throughout the world. Certainly at the affordable level.
