Bit of a long shot but somebody might remember - I've got to replace the 24 volt motor that drives the hydraulic pump of an early Lewmar commander system. The selector valves have a 'Vickers Hydraulics' label on them but neither the hydralic pump or the 5 - inch 24v DC motor have any labels or specs other than the Serial number 47047906 PT24V on the casing.

I haver spent days on the internet / phone to no avail - I just need the manufacturer of the motor so that I can track down a replacement.

Don't suppose anybody has access to a manual / onboard system or whatever??

Perhaps these folk can help

The motor will probably not be made by vickers but a generic bought in item. If you have the basic specs, size power etc a dc motor specialist will probably be able to source something for you

If you take the pump to a hydraulic specialist they should be able to tell to the displacement(how much oil it shifts per revolution) of the pump and from that what power the motor should be; once you have that information getting a suitable motor is simple.

If you put up some pictures it may be possible to identify the motor from its casing shape and size.

Even so an auto electrician may well be able to point you at a suitable replacement

I've tried three of them in the Plymouth area - best they can say is "it might be a Bosch unit"

I think it might be easier to install a new powerpack running alongside (connected to hydraulically) the Commander system.

Still looking through the BOSCH REXROTH online info

Hello Steve, I am looking for the same motor for Lewmar Commander 4, it is a 24V DC 4 Kw with the same number, have you found a solution since then??
Do you still have this engine? I'm mainly looking for the rotor
