I only fit on the hammerhead, and arrived and left on the flood so easy peasy. Crabbing was brilliant and the kids thought the whole weekend was great fun. I may have to start going alongside more often, especially if we have S'Westers from now on.

I spoke to your daughter and asked if she was from Cambridge, she said no, Homerton!

Did I mishear, was it Comberton, or Homerton in London or Homerton College. Thought she was little young to be in teacher's training!

My wife was there with son Patrick and Monty the black Labrador on the pontoon for the crabbing whilst I was racing in the yacht race.

Ah, the family of Monty the lab.. My daughter is currently besotted by dogs, so gravitates to any around, hence all is clear!

How true it all is ! I can be philosophical about unpredictability astern but what is a bit annoying is uninformed (but well meant ) suggestions either during the manouvre or in the cafe afterwards. A fin keeler with a saildrive is a different beast entirely.

Twice I've REALLY needed Indigo to go backwards in a more-or-less straight line. Both times she did. I reckon she knows. And the rest of the time she enjoys teasing.
