London Boat Show Black Friday deal

So, ever since SIBS I've been getting emails offering me two LBS tickets for £24

Today I got one announcing their 'Black Friday' deal - special offer today only two tickets for £24.

I'm not sure they understand the way this (imported from America) Black Friday thing is supposed to work.

YM have posted a similarly ridiculous/pointless advert on Facebook.

It's Black Friday - in case you hadn't noticed..! We are offering 50% off subscriptions to Yachting Monthly, that's a whole year or 13 issues for just £31.25 (in the UK). AND every print subscription comes with a free trial digital version for iPad and iPhone.

£31.25 does not strike me as much/any lower than their usual price.

And for the attention of Richard Shead:
1. I know YOU have an iPad, but many of us don't. Android offers in the very near future would be appreciated.
2. When will YM/IPC start offering digital only subscriptions - obviously at a significantly lower price?

They already do, but only for iPhone & iPad. And, naturally, not much cheaper than the print subscription.

This has always baffled me.
I have a digital subscription on 2 US magazines (Cruising World and Blue Water Sailing): digital subsription is about 55-60% of a print subscription.
What is stopping YM from doing the same?

Well, lots of the internet died yesterday! Our old tumble dryer died on Thursday evening and after taking it apart yesterday morning I decided it was an uneconomic repair prospect, so went online to try to order a new one. Most major electrical websites had collapsed (Currys offered me a 20 minute queue!)
