Looking at places to launch and recover my oyster boat, I like to be able to drive on the beach, or I can winch the boat to the trailer. I can use Mylor, launch free but the parking car/trailer is £9 and a hefty walk, 1km, up the valley. Restronguet Weir, beach ideal but no parking unless you are lucky to get on the roadside. Loe Beach looks good, car park, not too expensive, anyone know? Any other unconsidered out of the way spots for a launch, not too tidal?

Whilst the parking is cheaper than Mylor, there is a charge at Loe beach for launching the boat, which would make it more expensive than the £9 at Mylor.

OK, think I've got a plan. Mylor, if you have a trailer you have to park 1km from the slip, but a car can park for half the cost near the slip. So, get a small car trailer, put the boat on it. Launch the boat, park the trailer put the car on the trailer. This would work in many places.
Thanks for the info.
Mark Ellis is the man at Loe beach, it's £10 a day car, trailer, and launching, but closes at 8pm. Car park full by 0815 at weekends.

We used to have a place in Flushing and that was a regular walk. We even reported a wandering cow to the Duke one evening! Nice spot to swim as well. Plus the Seven Stars and the Royal Standard are on the way home

Flushing beach (aka Kiln Quay beach) isn’t any good unless you can get a key/code for the gate. All the Flushing/Mylor gigs are in the shed which is the other side of the gate. I’m not aware of anyone else being able to use it. You could try Flushing boat company or Trevissome, not sure what they charge but they have concrete slips.
