hi all, a friend of mine is looking at getting a new sib for next year and likes the look of the lodestar range, in particular the lodestar air floor with speed tubes (trimax 3d-v). have any of you out there had any experience with these. ie: quality of build / performance etc. he has at present a honwave 3.2m airfloor and although it is of good build, very stable and keeps you "dry" in the water, he doesn't like the way the floor flexes at the rear at full speed. many thanxs in advance.

I think most airdecks have some flex at high speed don't they? I know the one I use regularly does no matter how hard you pump up the floor.

Just looked at the same setup, the weight is more than an equivalent rib so in the end we decided to buy the mini rib, lighter & more ridged as well.

Take a look at the zodiac stuff, or if you really want light & very well built look at the alluminium hulled ribs from RibEye.

Lodestar get a good write up but I feel the prices are too close to the market leaders not to be looking at those instead.

A lower cost alternative to the Lodestars is Excel, build quality is just as good, less just a couple of minor features, but significantly cheaper.

In my view they're the one to get if you're looking for an inflatable air rib. Best value overall I would say.

No connection etc.
