With the imminent doubling in the cost of diesel for the boat, has anyone come across lockable fuel filler caps suitable for use on the boat?.

I can see a rise in fuel theft if we are forced to either use "white" but even if we still use red costing road fuel prices (and then some) how do you propose to prevent theft of fuel from your boat?

I can remember the days when cars did not have locking fuel caps but the increase in price of road petrol (and diesel) spawned a market for retro fit locking caps and new cars started to come with them as standard - are we going the same way now with the boats?

Have not come across a locking fuel filler but I am fitting a strainer like this into the fuel line from the filler to the tank mainly to stop big lumps of crud getting into the tank. This will also stop some one putting a pipe down into the tank to pump any fuel out of the tank.

And it says it is for oil as well as water
