Locker / Lazerette Padlock

My large cockpit locker has a push button catch with a hole through the button for a padlock. I have not found a decent padlock with a hasp loop thin enough to go through this hole. I have seen several boats with similar locker catches but not one with anything resembling a servicable padlock.
Has anyone had the same issue and found a solution ??
