Lockdown sailing

See, this is exactly the problem. You see people going to the allotment, so you want to go to your boat. People see you going to your boat, so they want to go kick a ball around. People see people kicking a ball around, so they want to go to the gym. People see people in the gym and they want to go to the pub...
Other stupid people breaking the rules is not a reason to break the rules or to be stupid.
Going the the allotment is specifically allowed to the point of encouraged. As long as you keep a similar distance away from other people in a boatyard I can't see any scientific reason not to work on a boat, though travelling far to get there would be a no-no and many or most yards are closed to owners.

Sailing is a recognized form of exercise in the UK as well but not Wales where sailing and other ocean based exercises will be banned from 25/04 until further notice. Provided you maintain social distancing away from none household members you should be fine. The problem is public condemnation because they believe that sailing is inherently unsafe and you will inevitably need the RNLI to come and rescue you!

That's partly due to messaging and advertisement from the RNLI.

Had to revise please see bold.

The new Wales rules for exercising during lockdown explained

One key pad and one trolly , then wash thy hands without putting them in my mouth up my nose or in my eyes , therefore the infection transfer in nil

Don't worry about anyone else, why don't you! Of course it is up to them to take the same precautions. I had in mind that marinas provide toilet facilities to discourage boats from discharging into their waters. If you guys have no need of that, or there isn't any, that must be safer...
