I have been looking everywhere for a small lockable white GRP box that I can mount near the helm. It doesn't have to be fully waterproof. I want to keep all the small bits and pieces such as binoculars, gloves, compass etc in it so maybe a ft square by 6" deep would be about right.
Can anyone point me in the right direction of a supplier of these sorts of things?
Thanks

You could make one from plywood, coat with fibreg;ass and flo-coat, then you would have exactly what you need, could even make it waterproof with some self adhesive, closed cell foam strip under the lid.

I above idea of a motorcycle top box is excellent if you can get the right size.

.............or even a small battery box?

Thanks for the replies.
I would like to attach it to the boat so the gear can stay there all the time rather than keep dragging it in. I want to attach it to the helm solid roof hence it matching the GRP roof.
I'm probably looking for something that doesn't exist but still hopeful.

See if you can find a local fibreglass fabricator. I had a fibreglass box made about 3 years ago in cream by a firm on the Thames. Cost about £220 and measured about 36 x 24 x 18 inches.
