Good Olde Telegraph,another fine example of straight forward totally unbiased reporting looking at both sides of the argument and after careful consideration bemoaning the fact that it is no longer 1955 and its all the Labour Governments fault
Somebody really ought to buy them a 2008 calender and then buy them a pint of warm beer to drown their shock that somwhow or other they also will have to drag themselves into at least the economics of the 19th century for starters. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
 
Every other navigation in the country was made cut its cloth to suit the prevailing financial climate years ago and Thames users may now well feel somewhat peeved to be finally threatened with losing some of the facilities long absent on other waterways.
There may be a good case for keeping things as they are but but it needs to be a hard financial one and arguments primarily relying on nostalgia and cheap political innuendo in a newspaper that has prospered by giving its readers only what they want to hear may not do the trick. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
