As per title, I have been trying to find where the temperature sensor and sender are located, none of the labeled photos in the manuals show them and I have hunted around the front of the engines and the heat exchanger and cannot find any wires or sign of these sensors/senders!!
Can anyone advise me where I should be looking please?
I am guessing they are probably in an impossible to access location.

behind the cooler above the generator are a number of senders according to the manual. Not 100% sure if they are warning or temp but the manual does describe unplugging them with generator / cooler / exhaust manifold removal

The temp sensor and warning sender are both in the water reservoir on top of the engine at the front. On a TMB40B that is, don't know about an A.

Thanks, mine are As, but one has been fitted with the B type heat exchanger, there is no sign of any wires in that area.

If as BruceK suggests they are above and behind the alternator then that is pretty inaccessible without removing the heat exchangers.

Had a look on BoatDiesel and it would appear to confirm they are there too. However a PM to an engineer may be prudent before you strip down and curse my name forever more.
