Local pilotage book

Just about to finish putting together a pilotage guide for the local area but before I get round to sending it off to the printer I thought I would ask what kind of items you peeps would think most important to include. This would be most helpful in case I have missed something.

Safe pilotage into anchorages suitable for various wind directions and how far to the nearest pub.

Decent colour photo's not grotty grainy black and white! But then it would not be a pilot book I guess!

Some guide on when to come, the safest approach routes and where to go to. Having visited a few times (on the helicopter - yet to make it by boat) I find the potential to go wrong reasonably daunting!

Do the crooks on Tresco still try to charge everyone for anchoring anywhere around the island? - if so please mention it. They threatened to tow my boat out to sea if I refused to pay. I haven't been back since.

the sound anchorages; the sound moorings; the 'no-go' areas for birds, seals, etc.; the paying places and with what authority; the sources of water; the sources of beer, bread and milk, etc.; the sources of fresh met....

Bus times.

Best eateries.

Things you should not miss in the town, like historic churches, monuments, brothels etc.

Of course the saily stuff, but they all have that, you are just left alone a little when you arrive ashore.

Probably one of the best Pilots I have seen.

A note of when the moorings are crowded.

A realistic guide to max size possible on moorings!!

Indication of prices of eateries.

Pictures of navigation marks and transits.

Maps of the islands and info about where to go/what to see.

My favourite guides are Chris Doyle's Windward & Leeward island guides - worth a look at his style.
