Having just read the post about the new small craft channel in Cowes and been in there a couple of times this week (tottaly oblivious to the new channel).
I then read some of the bye laws.....
How often do you check the Bye Laws & local Notice To Mariners?
Just looked at a few websites you could spend some time reading these.
Then there is Southampton Waters, Itchen River, Poole Harbour, Weymouth, Chitchester Habour, Cowes, Langstone, Bembridge, Portsmouth, Hamble, Yarmouth, Lymington, Beaulie.
No I have not read them all...
That's just within a weekends range on the Solent, You could spend more time reading than sailing. If you could remember which rule applies where.
Personally me and partner normally read what is ever is on the notice board next to the weather forecast whilst waiting for the better half to finish showering or what ever.
If we have not been there before we will have a look at the chart and read the Pilot...
Do you really check the website read/ check the Ntm and Bye Laws just in case they have changed?
